Jeju - Jusangjeolli Rocks & Hyeopjae Beach
Fantastic views
- Till death do us apart
- Viewing deck
Fantastic views
We stayed in a hotel near this beach and to our surprise, it has a fantastic sea view. The hotel is cheaper compared to the bigger and more convenient ones located near town. but the set back is you need to take about 30 min bus to get to the town.. Oh well.. lucky the jeju cabs are not as ex compared to Seoul!
This is Hallim Park, a theme park on Jeju and it’s really interesting! sadly we only have 1 hr there and it’s really not enough to explore the whole place. I love the 2 lava caves… there are really interesting
My latest craze…. can’t get these songs outta my head…..
If u think some of the songs are translated from eng songs, you are right. Big Bang seems to have a penchant for translating Eng songs. But after adding their own flavour to it, i will still say they’re pretty good. Enjoy bobbing your heads to these.
I decide to blog about this nite cycling expedition since this prob IS going to be my last nite cycling trip in my life and I do wanna remember it.
The idea was brought up like 3 or 4 yrs ago amongst the Wushu gang and as usual, it was only lip service. Until a couple of months ago when the Wushu gang was slacking at the playground, someone brought this up again. We decide to make it a reality and chose a date when all are available. I must commend Shawn for doing a good job researching on the route and JH (who cancelled last min) for providing sound advice, YZ and YT for surpassing their physical and mental limitations, Me for finally getting this over and done with. ![]()
I’m glad we took the route to CBD area as there are more things to see and explore along the way, unlike the changi / Loyang route i took last time whereby there’s oni trees, road and pitch black sea. Since F1 is just next week and the barricades are already set up, we had the chance to cycle along the F1 track (in the opposite direction) and get a few seconds of F1 adrenaline! LOL
We start off abt 9.30ish and reached barrage near 12 midnight, cruising at a very very leisure speed and managed to avoid getting very lost. We settle down on the lawn and was unpacking our biscuits when the sprinkler came up from underneath a corner of mat and started spraying water (in the oppo direction from where we were sitting) Tian and I screamed “Wah LAU!” in unison, drawing attention from all the people sitting around the lawn. We took 5 seconds to register what had happened (sprinkler is spraying water) and another 3 to interpret what is going to happen (sprinkler will turn 360degrees), before we jumped up and hurriedly and clumsily pick up our stuff from the mat. Shawn was very very steadily putting on his shoes while ying Zhen gave up wearing her shoes and wade bare footed to the corner of the lawn.
Some of the visitors brought their GIGANTIC kites and managed to get them flying. It was quite a sight! those kites are almost the area of a small table and had blinking lights on them!! they looked fabulous in the night sky. from afar, they look like a colony of UFOs. lol
Someone commented if I am too old for night cycling, but if i can still do it, why shouldn’t I? I do not want to regret it a couple years later when my body is no longer able to take late nights like this, and all i can do is lament and complain. BTW, my ex-colleague who is 50+ years old is going on cycling expedition to KL! So Hell ya, i can do a simple 30km night cycling trip!!!
I attach the route we took below and pics can be found from Yingzhen’s blog
