Land Tour Packages - USA
I came across this site which is essentially a middle agent for the numerous tour agencies (chinese operated ones) who offer land tours in USA. Quite cheap. Problem is they pick you up on the street so depending on your luck, it may be difficult to find the pick up location.
Lucky for me, both my land tours pick up along the same street in Chinatown LA, so I did not have issues finding the right place. Do note that you are not allowed to bring your luggage onto the Hover Dam and Canyon (After 911, things are a lot tighter), so i had to leave my luggage at the tour agency and bring a backpack. Luckily nothing was missing when I retrieve it 3 days later. (I suppose they have a reputation to protect.) But i did worry abt it a lot….
Hotel Planner (USA)
Used this site when looking for hotels in LA. It’s pretty ok, but do always look out for the cancellation terms and policies. Was lucky that i could cancel my room pretty last minute..
USA - Washington
Washington is FULL of memorial halls and monuments. Other than the white house and the usual monuments like Thomas, Lincoln, etc (I am calling them by the 1st name cos I cannot remember the full name

It has a good collection of artifacts and documents and they have successfully replicate the horrifics done to the Jews by the Nazis. You can literally re-live the moments of terror during those years. Especially the section detailing how the POW stuffed themselves to death (it’s true!!!) were when they were discovered by the allies after WWII ended was downright sad and depressing. Makes you appreciate harmony a lot better.
You can prebook the entrance tic (additional USD1 service charge) on the website so you need not queue on arrival. Sweet!
Vietnam War Memorial and South Korean War Memorial
I personally prefer the vietnam war memorial cos it’s a wall with the names of those who died in the war, but i believe there are many more who is not on the wall because they were never found.
I wonder if there’ll be another one for Afghanistan and Iraq
