How full is your cup?

Posted in Voices inside my head at 12:44 am by dmingz

It has really been a depressing week at work and I was getting really upset and am losing sleep over it. As I was walking hme from work 1 day, close to tears from all the shit i was going through, i tried to list all the good things in the world that i am thankful for and decide to make a list so that i will not have such a hard time remembering them the next time i was in my “valley of sorrow”. Here it is, in no order of preference:

Jacky Cheung - For his powerful vocals and mesemerising songs to lift me out of my otherwise sad life.

Jay Chow - For all the great songs and lyrics he has written to remind us how arrogant humans have become.

K dramas - for all the laughter and tears on my slower working days

J Dramas - for the most outragous ideas that i have never seen in any dramas

Moon - for always being there, wether i’m in USA, Korea, Bali, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan etc etc etc and still being there when I’m gone

drizzling rain - for washing the heat from singapore and refreshing our numb senses, but not big enough so that i have to run for cover

Breeze - for momentarily relieving the mind-boggling heat

Good health - for not having to go through physical pain as i endure the emotional stress

Shelter - for being able to sleep in peace at night and not worry abt my things getting stolen

Food and water - For enabling me to go on living and breathing

free from debt - for not having to think abt not having enough money at the end of the month

Kim Sun Ah - for showing me its possible to be lively and happy in all occasions of life, even after going through her 3 yr law suit, she is able to talk about it with ease. Still learning that skill…..

Jang Dong Gun - for being unbelieveably handsome. Are you sure you are human?

Friends - Shall not list their names here, but they know who they are.

Mom and bro - for being them

Water rafting -

Life is great if you think only of how half-full your cup is and not how half-empty it is. It is half-empty so that you will be able to put more happy things inside.

My “private” blog

Posted in Voices inside my head at 6:33 pm by dmingz

recently i rec what i initially thought, is the most ridiculous email. Friendster.com sent an email informing me that someone whom i have never seen, spoke to, touched of, heard of, visited my blog and left a comment!!! (sound the gongs! sound the gongs!!!!!!)

Imagine this!! this lifeless blog that i started 3 yr ago out of curiosity, with only 9 postings before today, was read by someone whom is not on my facebook/friendster list and left a short comment “people should read this”

Pardon me, but allow me to bask in this delight. it felt like winning a nobel prize. a stranger is reading abt my sad life and finds inspiration from my postings! (btw, i always refer my life as sad because everyone thinks they lead the saddest life)

this truely illustrate the privacy of blogs. my friends are discussing the other day abt pple writing their blogs like a personal diary. On it, they detailed their lifes, commented or complaint abt their bosses, colleagues, friends etc etc. All the while, thinking that these people will not be reading their blogs.

My darlings, check the url of your blog and see if it does not begin with http://. if it does, chances are, this is not your thick, pink “hello Kitty” book that you hide under lock and key from your mother, father, sisters, boyfriend(s), best friends that has all your dirty little secrets and tells how much you actually hate these people.

We do not call internet the WORLD WIDE web for no good reason. people who lives in USA, who do not know you may just google you and all your previous postings on your blog, travel sites, your friend’s blog will all show up. (trust me on this, i googled and all my postings on above mentioned sites can be found) if pple who are total strangers to you may read your blog, REST ASSURED that your bosses, colleagues, friends etc are reading it as well. so if you want to rant about them, find that pink Hello kitty book that’s prob now covered in dust. (if you had thrown it away. i bet the garung guni man is reading it right now.)

To my boss and colleagues (if you ever came here): There’s nth here on you. Shoo, go somewhere else.

To my friends: if you read the previous posts, you will find some references of yourself somewhere. Thanks for inspiring me to think and write these thought provoking pieces (read incident above). You help me grow and mature (read:make me older by irritating me). i appreciate you being in my life (previous, present or future parts of my life) and remember, friendship is not formed by reading blogs (read posting below)

To Wynona (if you ever bother to come back to this dessert again): Thanks for the comment. it made me really happy for a number of days. I hope it help you to see things in a different perspective. BTW, do i actually know you?

To the rest of the WWW who is going to read my posts: All postings here are made on a personal basis and do not reflect the views of any organisation or authority. If you want to sue me, rest assured i have given all my assets to my cat named “Doggie”.
